: (1) In order to check the validity of the Executive Standard, the Government of Nepal may prepare sets of certified standard measures and weights as required. Those sets will be called secondary standards.
(2) The secondary standard shall be of the specified item, design and description. It will be verified by the designated person or officer and will be stamped and kept in the department as specified and within each specified period, it will be checked with the chief standard and a note with the date of the check will be affixed on it.
(3) According to sub-section (2) the secondary standard which has not been checked and stamped within the deadline shall not be legally recognized and shall not be used for the purpose of this Act.
